Kateřina Piňosová , born November 30, 1973, is a member of the Czech-Slovak Surrealists Group. She is dedicated to visual and verbal creation. She has organized a number of solo exhibitions in the Czech Republic: Prague, Prostějov, Cheb, Brno, Litoměřice, Černčice, Aš and Terezín, and abroad: Weaverville (USA), Eureka (USA), Normandy (France), Yukon (Canada) and Paris (France). She has also participated in many group exhibitions at home and abroad.
She is the author of the collections of poems Guidenka smrtihlava (Analogon edition), Mučenka a jíná místa (Analogon edition) and the book of texts and poetry Vnřintři cestopis (dybbuk). She is the co-author of the books The Alphabet of Trees (with Laura Conway, Concordia publishing house) and Skutečná tvář květin (with Jiří Sádl, Kodudek publishing house). Her work has been published at home and abroad: Surrealist Women, New European poets, Anthology of Czech Poetry, Analogon revue and other literary editions and magazines.
She has illustrated a number of publications: Going Firmly for Your Imbecile (Clinamen), Scraps from the Notebook of a Deceased Naturalist (Academia), What's Going on in the World? (Václav Cílek, Dokořán) and others. Since 2020, she has been creating covers for poetry collections Opium Poezie (dybbuk).
Piňosová has also constructed a number of concrete sculptures in Mexico, the United States, and the Czech Republic.
