On Saturday, April 6, 2025, a nature walk called "Za prameny Ašska" (For the Springs of Aš) took place as part of the first annual Healthy Festival, attracting dozens of nature, geology, and local history lovers. The event, organized with the aim of introducing participants to the beauty of Aš's nature and the importance of mineral springs in the region, offered not only interesting information, but also pleasant exercise in the fresh air under the sunny spring sky.
The participants met at 9 a.m. at the lookout tower on Háj Hill, from where they set off on a route approximately 9 kilometers long. The path led through the mineral spring in Dolní Paseky to the spring in Doubrava. During the walk, stops were prepared at interesting places where visitors listened to explanations about the rocks of the Aš region, mineral springs in the Bílé Halštrov valley, and also about the history of ore mining, stone quarrying, and small buildings and monuments from the past. Experienced guides Zdeněk Nepustil, Zdeněk Soukup, Jana Kočišová, and František Malý provided expert explanations.
The highlight of the event was the second part of the program, which took place from 1:00 PM in the Ašské lesy area in Doubrava. Here, the participants attended a block of short lectures, during which hydrogeologist Tomáš Vylita from the Institute of Spa and Balneology introduced the world of hydrogeology and the healing effects of local mineral waters, and Lubomír Zeman spoke about the spa's therapeutic landscape and architecture. This was followed by a fun game of mineral sommeliers, accompanied by light refreshments.
A free bus from Aš was provided for the afternoon program. After the event, it transported all participants back to Aš and to Háj Hill to their parked cars.
The entire event took place in a pleasant atmosphere and combined exploring the Aš region with active movement.
