Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Kopaniny, built in 1890 in the pseudo-Gothic style, impresses with its elegant front tower and unique chapels in the back.
Let's go back to the reign of the Zedtwitz family, when this majestic Catholic church in Kopaniny was built in 1890. Its architecture draws us into a world of pseudo-Gothic elegance, where every detail has its own meaning. The nave of the church has an unusual rectangular plan with three chapels protruding at the back, reminiscent of mysterious nooks. The main part of the nave is brightened by eight windows on both sides, which draw light in. But the crowning glory of this beautiful temple is its tower, which protrudes at the front, with its square base and octagonal floor. Both the tower and the nave are decorated with elegant supporting columns, which give this place an unforgettable atmosphere and charm.
