Blue route
Discover the historical and natural gems of the Aš region on the blue-marked route. Visit Seeberg Castle, Geoth's Rockery, the Aš Museum, the lookout tower on Háj Hill, and the ruins of Neuberg Castle.

1. Ostroh (Castle Seeberg) - Romanesque castle built at the end of the 12th century, later rebuilt in Gothic and Renaissance style. The castle consists of two parts, a Gothic and a Romanesque palace. There are now several exhibits in the castle.
2. Hazlov
3. Goethe's Rock - It is a rock formation measuring 400 m in length and 10 m in height, it consists of smaller quartz rocks, thanks to which this formation is included among the natural monuments.

5. Aš -The westernmost town in the Czech Republic, the first written records of Aš are from 1270. Aš abounds in beautiful nature and several sights, among the most important are the Aš Museum, City Hall, the Church of St. St. Nicholas, statue of Dr. Martin Luther and a lookout tower on Háj hill.
6. Hill Háj (Lookout tower) -This majestic lookout tower was built in 1904, measures 34 m and stands on the hill Háj, which has a height of 758 m above sea level. It is one of the largest and most massive Bismarck lookout towers.
7. Podhradí - Neuberg Castle Ruins The ruins of Neuberg Castle in Podhradí are the oldest monument in Aš, the first written records date back to 1288. The castle went through several fires, now only the 22 m high tower and the perimeter walls of the adjacent castle are preserved.

Seeberg Castle (Promontory)
Discover the charm of the Romanesque castle from the end of the 12th century, which was later rebuilt in Gothic and Renaissance style. Seeberg boasts two palaces – Romanesque and Gothic – and its authentic atmosphere will transport you to the ancient times of knights and nobles. Today you will find fascinating exhibitions that reveal not only the history of the castle, but also life in past centuries.
Hazlov
One of the oldest villages in the Aš region, with roots dating back to the 12th century. The original Romanesque castle, later rebuilt into a chateau, fell into disrepair after World War II, but has been undergoing renovation since 2018. The village was awarded the title of Village of the Year 2019, thanks to which a café and reading room were created. The repaired staircase tower will soon offer a magnificent view.
Goethe's rock garden
Discover a unique rock formation that stretches for 400 meters and reaches a height of up to 10 meters. This fascinating natural monument consists of smaller quartzite rocks, the shape and structure of which have impressed not only geologists, but also the famous poet Johann Wolfgang Goethe, after whom it is named.
Museum of the Aš Region
Visit the Museum of the Aš Region, housed in a historic and listed building called the "fire station" on Poštovní náměstí. This sensitively renovated building now houses a unique ethnographic collection that will reveal the secrets and history of the region.
Explore how the town of Aš got its name and find out what the three graylings on the town's coat of arms symbolize. Our exhibition also tells the stories of the important owners of the Aš-Neuber estate, such as the lords of Neuberg and Zedtwitz. You will learn about the religious situation and life in this fascinating region.
Textile Museum
Visit the Textile Museum in Ašsko to learn about the fascinating history of textile production. The museum, which collects valuable artifacts since the 1970s, offers exhibits of historical machines, lace, curtains and clothing, including one of the largest collections of textile gloves in Europe. In 2024, this collection was entered in the Czech Book of Records as the largest collection of gloves in the Czech Republic. You can also see the entire glove production process.
In addition to textiles, the museum also keeps records of reconciliation crosses, commemorating tragic events and the hope for reconciliation.
Lookout tower on Háj hill
Head to Vrch Háj, where an impressive lookout tower, built in 1904, awaits you. This monumental jewel, 34 meters high, rises to a peak 758 meters above sea level. It is one of the largest and most imposing lookout towers in Bismarck, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Don't forget to bring your camera - the view you will see is truly unforgettable!
Under the castle
Discover the magic of the ruins of Neuberg Castle in Podhradí, the oldest historical monument in the Aš region. The first written mention of this castle dates back to 1288. The castle, which has experienced several fires, today offers a fascinating view of the preserved 22-meter-high tower and the perimeter walls of the adjacent chateau.
Spring
Studánka, a part of the town of Hranice, lies 3 km south of Hranice and 10 km from Aš. It was first mentioned in 1392, when it was the property of the Neuberg family. In the 15th century, the village was destroyed during wars, but was restored in the 16th century. In the 19th century, the first steam spinning mill in the Aš region was built here. After World War II and the evacuation of the German population, the population decreased. Today, Studánka is a quiet place.
