Mája Šnajdrová is a hiker, traveler, illustrator, mountain soul... When she's not hiking in the mountains, she paints or lectures to the public about wilderness travel.
In recent years, she has spent most of her time traveling, where she also paints and draws inspiration for her further work. She has grown fond of remote areas where she can encounter bears or cougars, she enjoys overcoming her own limits and enjoying the beauty hidden off the beaten path. She has traveled through Alaska, Patagonia and the PNT with Alča, and now she has traveled over 3500 km through Utah, Arizona and the Pacific Northwest on her own. She believes that anything is possible – you just need to take one more step!
► if you want to get inspired, you can listen to the interview on the Casablanca program on Czech Radio HERE .
The lecture Arizona and Utah: Walking through the Deserts, Canyons and Myself is about a six-month journey on foot across the American West, which measured over 3,500 km – from the arid deserts of Arizona and the magical canyons of Utah to the snowy mountains of California and the wild coast of Oregon. Mája called her solo journey THRU – through the land and her own soul.
A thrilling tale awaits you, not only about the beauty of life on the trail and the otherworldly landscape, but also about the struggle with fear and utter solitude. Arizona will enchant even beginners, Utah will test the most experienced hikers, and stories from encounters with people will touch every heart.
