Liberation celebrations in Aš

American soldiers entered the Aš salient, which was part of the Sudetenland Reich County at the end of World War II in 1945, on April 18. The legendary battle of the liberators with the German occupiers took place on April 25 in Cheb. This year it will be 80 years since world history was broken on our territory. Let us honor this historical anniversary and the memory and legacy of those who came to fight for a better world.

The liberation celebrations in Aš will take place in the Míru Gardens on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Visitors can look forward to a varied program full of historic vehicles, battle displays, and live music.

12:30 – Column of historic cars 13:00 – Opening of the celebrations 13:15 – Battle of the models 14:00 – Ceremony 15:00 – SWING MELODY (musical performance) 16:30 – The Great Battle 17:00 – Battle of the models 18:00 – CRAZY DOGS (musical performance)

The event will also include an attempt to enter the Czech Book of Records for the largest exhibition of RC models in one place.

Battle scenes will be accompanied by distinctive sound effects. Recommendations:

Owners of sensitive dogs should avoid Sady Míru and the surrounding area between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM. People with sensitive hearing may bring earplugs or noise-canceling headphones. Earplugs will be distributed free of charge for children and adults on site.
