Monument to Theodor Körner

The Theodor Körner Monument in Aš commemorates the prominent German poet and playwright who fell during the Napoleonic Wars. It is located in a picturesque setting and offers a unique insight into the history of the region and the life of this prominent writer.

The monument was unveiled in 1913 on the 100th anniversary of the death of T. Körner (* 1791 † 1813). In September 2013, SUPŠ created a new bust of T. Körner in Český Krumlov. Körner was an important German poet and soldier.
