Library Week in Aš

Since 1996, libraries across the Czech Republic have been drawing attention to their activities through the LIBRARY WEEK event.
It is no different this year, when we are once again among approximately 300 libraries that are preparing some kind of cultural program for their readers and the general public this week.
So what will it look like for us this year?
► Like every year, new readers can register for the library for free until the end of the year.
► We are happy to show unregistered visitors around the library.
► For existing readers who are burdened with a reminder, we have AMNESTY all week long.
► The children's department will host discussions for schools and kindergartens.
29|9 actress and founder of the Dagmar Hana Franková theatre will come to us and read from a book by Zdeněk Šmíd THE SHINE AND THE MISTAKE OF WAITING (more info here) .
2|10 we are looking forward to MÁJA ŠNAJDROVA for the second time . In the children's department she will talk to children from schools in the morning and in the adults' department in the evening she will tell us about the continuation of her journey called THRU (more info here) .
3|10 our obligatory BOOK BAZAAR (more info here) , which will last until the end of October.

The library would like to point out that it takes photographs and videos at its events. The materials taken may subsequently be used on the library's website, social networks and promotional materials. The photographs may also be provided to the media as part of sending press releases.
