Chapel of the Virgin Mary

This charming chapel, built in 1907, is located in Nebesy. Its interior is decorated with a magnificent neo-Gothic altar, which gives this place a unique touch and will catch your attention.
Nebesa, a part of the town of Aš, lies on the edge of the Halštrovský Forest at an altitude of 700 meters and first appears in historical records in 1598. This peaceful place with beautiful views of the countryside is ideal for nature and history lovers.
One of the most interesting buildings in Nebesy is the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which was consecrated on November 10, 1907. Its creation was initiated by the local forester Glaser, who was responsible for its construction. The chapel is unique in that it is directly connected to the tower, which gives it a characteristic appearance. Its facade is decorated with six tall windows, thanks to which the interior is flooded with natural light. The ceiling is made of wooden beams, which create a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. In the apse behind the arch there is a beautiful neo-Gothic altar, which enhances the spiritual significance of the place.
The chapel belongs to the Roman Catholic Church, but according to the notice on the door, regular services are not held here. Nevertheless, this place is an interesting destination for tourists looking for peace, history and a spiritual atmosphere. The surrounding nature invites you to walk and discover the beauties of this lesser-known, but still impressive location in the Aš region.
