Exhibition of models by Bohuslav Karban

Attention nautical, model-making and history enthusiasts! A unique exhibition of models by Aš native and world-renowned model-maker Bohuslav Karban is coming up.

Dozens of models of ships and sailboats from different time periods will be on display – from the largest models placed in display cases to the smallest ones assembled in bottles, flasks and light bulbs. You can look forward to, for example, the unsinkable Titanic , the Norwegian ship Fram of polar explorer Roald Amundsen or the pirate ship La Grace, on which the Czech nobleman Augustýn Heřman sailed in the Caribbean and along the coast of the United States. All models are thought out to the smallest detail and faithful to their originals. There will also be a regional window with models of the now burnt-out Evangelical church and the historic main train station .

The exhibition will be opened with refreshments on Thursday, March 5th at 5 p.m. in the premises of the Museum of the Aš Region on Poštovní náměstí. Admission is free.

The exhibition itself will run until April 30th.
