Where are you from?

Where are you from? is an original documentary production that asks questions about the meaning of where we come from. We will look into the stories of two women who moved to Aš and Kraslice in the 1960s, put down roots and lived their adult lives, each in their own way.

Is it possible for the coming generations to find a happy future here? What was it like to move to the borderlands for work, for love, and to build a family here? Have you asked your grandmothers? And what is home, grandma?

The performance is for everyone who has ever thought about their home, moving or returning.

Tereza is a master's student at the Department of Educational Drama at DAMU, originally from Aš. Although she moves to Brno part-time, she helps to devise educational programs at the Aš Museum, is active in the Kultivary association, and plays and sings with the ensemble Veselé chvíle.

Markéta graduated in teaching with a focus on history and music education and comes from Jindřichovice u Kraslice. She is dedicated to the education of children and leisure activities of youth. She moderates and organizes various social events. She currently lives in Pilsen.
