The coordinated lighting of the two parks in Selb and Aš was the heart of the opening event of the Bavarian-Czech Friendship Weeks for the population. A small accompanying program with music and a selection of drinks invited all citizens of the border region to take a walk through both parks, where they could enjoy the pleasant lighting. This lighting gave the Friendship Weeks a special spirit and set a light signal for Bavarian-Czech relations.

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, the illumination took place in the History Park in Aš under the motto of the Bavarian-Czech Friendship Weeks: Together. Create. Opportunities.
