Hranice Cinema — Fairy Tales for Hurvínek

The screening will take place on June 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Beseda, reserved for kindergarten and 1st grade elementary school, viewers from the general public welcome. Admission is funded by the City of Hranice.

Hurvínek finds traditional fairy tales stupid, outdated and naive. Who would believe that there are fat princes or dirty devils? He certainly doesn't! He is already big enough, wiser, matured, grown up and matured. But then a little fool appears in the recording studio where he and Mánička go to see their old man Spejble and leads him out of a hellish mistake. He sends both friends on a trial run, straight into a fairy tale! But once you enter the fairy tale realm, you have to get to the end and undergo a series of difficult tests to learn what is good and what is evil, that wit is often more powerful than strength and that wisdom and love are the most powerful of all. While the grumpy Hurvínek grumbles that they have caught on, Mánička is looking forward to seeing something. And her wish comes true without a trace! During their journey, they meet Long, Wide and Sharp-eyed, wake up Grandpa All-Knowing from his sleep, narrowly escape from the clutches of Otesánek, outwit the evil sorcerer and, with the help of the prince, slay the three-headed dragon, who is already grinding his teeth on Mánička. The unusual adventure eventually brings Hurvínek to his senses. After all, anything can happen in fairy tales. Hahaha! (Bontonfilm)
